I call first post on the blog!

Hi.  Anya-Tay thought this would be a good forum for idea sharing.  Ideas can be about the ILE pilot program, The Starfish and the Spider, training challenges, tuning up, or tuning out.  You decide.  Great thing is, there's no mailbox limit.  Blog your Starfish brains out! **

**Starfish do not physically have brains, this was for emphasis and in no is the opinion of this staff group, ILE, CGSC, TRADOC, or the United States Army.

  2. Good idea to saturate the web with some discussions. Seems we have so many different options on communication it's hard to focus to create the richness of discussion we've been talking about.

That said...good idea with the blog. Who knows, maybe we can all pull some ILE STRATCOM credit?

  3. Well Personally out of all the options we've come up with for virtual connectivity, I like this one the best. Don't get me wrong, Facebook is cool, but not everyone has an account and that is a closed group. AKO is very restrictive and please tell me, when hasn't all of us been totally frustrated with AKO.

Finally, I just like the background for this. About the only thing missing is one of our Starfish on the walls. Anyways, my vote for a virtual environment is for this environment, but that is just 1/14.

So that is my two cents.

  4. Technical question... can anyone post here or just Matt and we comment on it? I'm not blog savvy so forgive the question.

  5. Jay, good question. This is Matt's blog and all we can do is comment on whatever topics he picks. We cannot add a new topic. So this is a limitation that we'll have to figure out.

    Hope this helps.

  7. I guess since this was my idea I should actually make a comment.

I've attached the article that Mr. Varner sent us a few days ago. I agree with Mike it is a good read and applicable the Starfish concept, but definately makes you feel a little better about the current economic stiuation in America.

Today I went to church and then went to Zona Rosa for a much needed message. Now back to reading and homework.

  8. Hey Tanya,

Good article, but I have some doubts in the future this article seems to present. The world has many countries that are very good in the informational world and I'm concerned that other countries will hold their own and if we are not careful, we will lose our economic edge.

Some argue that what we saw with the President's trip to Asia demonstrates our trouble in the global economy. As I watched several of the Sunday morning talk shows this morning, it is clear to me that our country is still struggling to decide on the best course of action and I am deeply troubled by that fact.

So hopefully we'll figure this out, invest some real resources to sustaining our position on the global economic stage and America will be that leader in the future as this article explains.

    So lets hope this happens!!

  9. Y'all know you can start a new post if you want. If you just comment on an old post, you'll lose a lot of visibility since most people don't realize there were only 6 comments before, and now there are 7. Know what I mean?
